Vegan About Town: Caramel Pecan Buns from Breadsmith

Sometimes a momma just wants to be able to pick up delicious vegan treats. If you are in the midwest and looking for a simple yet tasty way to show off vegan baked goods, stop in at Breadsmith. They've got locations in AZ, IL, IN, MD, MI, MN, MO.

These amazing caramel pecan buns are available at some locations on Saturday (see stores for bread schedules). It is an ooey-gooey fresh treat that melts in your mouth when warm. If we're ever in the area we simply have to stop in to pick some up.

Another family favorite is the chocolate babka loaf or rolls. You will not be disappointed, I promise! This is just another example of the ever increasing availability of vegan fare. What is your favorite go to place for vegan goodies?

  1. Holy cow! I've never heard of this chain. I'll have to contact the locations in Illinois to see if they, indeed, sell the caramel pecan buns sometimes, because those look downright scrumptious. And chocolate babka loaf? This is an amazing discovery.

In my university's somewhat small city (20k), I can get delicious vegan muffins, cupcakes, and cookies—not to mention savory food—as easily as I can in a big city. It's definitely easier than it was several years ago, although it was still pretty easy then.
