Third Annual Vegan Cookie Exchange

Each year just seems to get better and better. I love trying new recipes, as well as a few of the classics. This year did not fail to impress.

Starting at the top going clockwise are: Cherry Cheesecake Cookies, Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Balls, Snickerdoodle Cinnamon Sugar Cookies, White Chocolate dipped Coconut Cranberry Pistachio Bars, Chocolate Powdered Sugar Coated Cookies, Chewy Ginger Molasses Cookies, Almond Toffee Bars, and Chocolate Sugar Cookies Iced with Candy Cane Coating Topping. For a more closer view, feast your eyes below.

As I am writing this post, I am lamenting the fact that these are all long gone. Quickly devoured by my family, but as the holiday season continues on there will be more holiday goodies to feast upon. Until next year!

  5. The cherry cheesecake cookies Erin made were off the hook (I got to try one at a dinner party.) You should definitely get her to share the recipe. In fact, I'm going to encourage her to right now!

  6. Hey all - glad you liked them!
Cherry cheesecake recipe was veganized from CooksCountry.com and the America's Test Kitchen holiday cookie book (http://www.cooksillustrated.com/bookstore/detail.asp?PID=485) but it was reprinted here:
http://www.melskitchencafe.com/2009/12/sugar-rush-12-cherry-cheesecake-cookies.html - substitute vegan cream cheese, earth balance for butter and Ener-G egg replacer for eggs.

The almond toffee bars were crazy easy and from the VegNews holiday cookie book - it's only $5 and an eBook so you can download it immediately upon purchase: http://vegnews.myshopify.com/products/vegnews-holiday-cookie-collection (As a bonus, it also includes a recipe for pecan pie truffles with bourbon (bourbon optional, but why wouldn't you??). Worth the $5 for that alone!
